Stop Chasing Shoulder Pain. Start Understanding What Your Shoulder Needs.
Shoulder Restore is a practical step by step system designed to help you understand what may be limiting your shoulder, improve the movement you need, and rebuild strength and control with purpose.
YOU’VE LEARNED THE PIECES. NOW PUT THEM TOGETHER.
You’ve stretched. You’ve rested. Maybe you’ve massaged it, foam rolled it, strengthened it, or simply tried working around it.
And perhaps some of those things helped — for a while.
The problem may not be that you haven’t tried enough things.
The problem may be that no one has shown you how the pieces fit together.
Learn at your own pace. Start where your shoulder is today. Progress with purpose.
Shoulder Restore is an educational fitness program and is not intended to diagnose or treat a medical condition. Consult an appropriate licensed healthcare professional for severe, traumatic, persistent or worsening symptoms.
Why Does the Relief Keep Wearing Off?
If you’ve been dealing with shoulder discomfort for a while, chances are you’ve already tried something to make it feel better.
Maybe you’ve stretched it.
Maybe you’ve rested it.
Maybe you’ve used massage, a foam roller, heat, ice or pain-relieving medication.
Maybe you’ve searched online and tried a handful of shoulder exercises that were supposed to help.
And some of those things may have worked.
The problem is that feeling better temporarily and changing why the problem keeps returning aren’t necessarily the same thing.
A stretch may improve movement. Massage may reduce tension. Rest may calm an irritated area. An exercise may strengthen a specific muscle.
Those all can be useful tools.
But a collection of useful tools isn’t automatically a plan.
What matters is knowing which tool you need, why you need it, and what should come next.
That’s the difference between repeatedly chasing your symptoms and beginning to understand what your shoulder actually needs.
A BETTER WAY FORWARD
Shoulder Restore Gives You a Process
Instead of randomly trying another stretch, exercise or technique, Shoulder Restore teaches you to approach your shoulder through three progressive steps:
UNDERSTAND
Before you try to change something, understand what may be contributing to it.
Learn how the shoulder works, why discomfort isn’t always as simple as, “something is tight”, and how your habits, movement patterns, mobility, strength, and control can influence the way your shoulder feels and functions.
The goal is to stop guessing and begin making sense of what your body is telling you.
IDENTIFY
Your shoulder can’t tell you what it needs if you don’t know how to listen.
You’ll begin looking at your own movement to recognize which positions feel restricted, uncomfortable, different from side to side, or difficult to control.
This isn’t about diagnosing yourself.
It’s about becoming a more informed observer of your own body — so you can begin recognizing where your movement may need attention.
RESTORE
Once you better understand what’s limited, you can begin working on it with purpose.
You’ll use targeted mobility and corrective-strength strategies, to help improve movement, build control, and develop greater confidence in what your shoulder can do.
Rather than simply chasing temporary relief, you’re beginning to build a shoulder that is better prepared for the movements you ask of it.
Understand what you’re dealing with. Identify what needs attention. Restore what your shoulder needs.
WHAT’S INSIDE SHOULDER RESTORE
More Than Exercises. A System for Understanding What to Do—and Why.
Shoulder Restore begins by helping you understand something that’s easy to overlook.
Your shoulder doesn’t exist separately from the way you live your life.
The positions you spend time in, the movements you repeat, and the movements you rarely make can influence how your shoulder feels and functions.
That’s why simply stretching a tight area or foam rolling whenever something hurts may provide relief without creating lasting change.
Shoulder Restore teaches you how different strategies serve different purposes—and how to begin putting those strategies together.
THE THREE PILLARS
Tissue Self-Care
Learn the role of self-massage and why the right tool should be used for the right job. You’ll explore how foam rollers and other self-care tools can be used appropriately—not as a magical “fix”, but as one part of preparing the body for better movement.
Corrective Stretching
Learn why not every stretch serves the same purpose and how targeted mobility strategies fit into a larger shoulder-restoration process.
Strengthening
Creating range of motion is only part of the equation. Your body also needs the ability to control and produce strength within the movement you’ve created. Shoulder Restore introduces strengthening strategies designed to address weaker areas and improve control.
ESTABLISH YOUR STARTING POINT
Before beginning the program, you’ll work through a simple three-part shoulder movement assessment designed to help you recognize restrictions, side-to-side differences, and areas where movement or control may be needed.
This isn’t about diagnosing yourself. It’s about establishing a starting point so you can approach the program with greater purpose.
What About Frozen Shoulder?
Shoulder Restore also discusses frozen shoulder, including its commonly described stages and some of the movement restrictions associated with it.
The term “frozen shoulder” is sometimes used broadly when shoulder pain and restriction don’t have an obvious explanation. Shoulder Restore can provide useful movement education for people experiencing shoulder pain or significant restriction, but it is not intended to diagnose frozen shoulder or replace appropriate medical evaluation or treatment.
Once you’ve established your starting point, Shoulder Restore brings these pieces together into a structured program—so you’re no longer left wondering which stretch to do, which area to strengthen, or what should come next.
Your 8-Week Roadmap
A Progressive Plan Designed to Meet Your Shoulder Where It Is.
Shoulder Restore gives you an eight-week roadmap built around 11 progressive exercises, designed to help you gradually improve movement, develop control, and build strength.
You won’t start by loading an uncomfortable shoulder with everything at once.
You build a foundation first.
During the early stages of the program, the emphasis is on gradually improving range of motion and becoming comfortable with foundational movements.
As your shoulder adapts, additional exercises are introduced, and resistance is gradually added. Later stages increase the challenge and training frequency as you build greater strength, control, and conditioning.
Most sessions take approximately 20-40 minutes, performed several times per week depending on where you are in the program.
SEE EXACTLY WHAT TO DO
You’re not left trying to interpret an exercise name or wondering whether you’re performing a movement correctly.
Each of the 11 exercises includes either a narrated video demonstration or captioned photographs to help you understand how the movement should be performed.
A ROADMAP—NOT A RIGID TIMETABLE
Eight weeks gives you a map.
It doesn’t give your shoulder a deadline.
The suggested exercise schedule, repetitions, resistance, and progressions are guidelines—not laws.
Some people will be ready to progress sooner. Others may need more time at a particular stage.
That’s okay.
Shoulder Restore teaches you to pay attention to how your shoulder responds and progress when you’re ready rather than forcing your body to keep up with an arbitrary calendar.
You’ll also receive clear guidance about acceptable discomfort, when to modify what you’re doing, and when pain is telling you not to push further.
The goal isn’t to finish Shoulder Restore as quickly as possible.
The goal is to finish with a shoulder that moves and functions better than the one you started with.
IS SHOULDER RESTORE RIGHT FOR YOU?
A Good Program Starts With Knowing When to Use It
Shoulder Restore was created for people dealing with the kind of persistent shoulder discomfort, stiffness, or restricted movement that can make everyday activities, exercise, and recreation more difficult than they need to be.
SHOULDER RESTORE MAY BE A GOOD FIT IF:
Your shoulder regularly feels tight, stiff, uncomfortable, or restricted.
Your symptoms have been lingering or seem to improve only to return again.
You’ve tried stretching, massage, foam rolling, rest, or individual shoulder exercises but have never had a clear plan for putting those pieces together.
You can move and exercise your shoulder without severe pain.
You want to better understand how your shoulder moves and what may need attention.
You’re willing to work consistently through a progressive program rather than look for a quick fix.
THERE ARE ALSO TIMES WHEN SHOULDER RESTORE SHOULDN’T BE YOUR FIRST STEP.
If you’re experiencing severe shoulder pain—particularly pain you would describe as a 7-8 or higher on a 10-point scale—I recommend speaking with an appropriate licensed healthcare professional before beginning the program.
The same applies if your shoulder problem began with a significant recent injury or trauma, your symptoms are rapidly worsening, or you’re experiencing other symptoms that concern you.
Why?
Because when pain becomes severe, people naturally begin finding ways to move around it. Those compensations can make it difficult to perform mobility and strengthening exercises the way they’re intended to be performed.
The goal of Shoulder Restore is never to force your way through pain.
It’s to gradually improve movement, build control, and add strength as your shoulder becomes ready for it.
If you’re unsure whether exercise is appropriate for your particular shoulder problem, get evaluated first. Shoulder Restore will still be here when you’re ready.
WHY I CREATED SHOULDER RESTORE
After More Than 20 Years of Training People, I’ve Learned That More Exercises Aren’t Usually the Answer.
For more than 20 years, I’ve worked with people at nearly every level of fitness—from professional athletes and serious competitors to weekend warriors, older adults, and people trying to get back to doing the things they enjoy.
And one thing I’ve seen repeatedly is this:
People are often given things to do without being taught why they’re doing them.
Stretch this. Strengthen that. Foam roll here. Avoid this movement. Try this exercise.
Individually, some of those recommendations may be useful.
But without understanding how those pieces fit together, it’s easy to spend months—or even years—jumping from one solution to another.
That’s one of the reasons I created Shoulder Restore.
I wanted to take the same education-first approach I use when working with my clients and turn it into a practical system you can follow on your own.
I don’t believe the goal should simply be to make something feel better today.
I want you to better understand your body so you can make better decisions about how you move tomorrow.
That’s why Shoulder Restore doesn’t begin with 11 exercises and tell you to get to work.
It begins by helping you understand the problem, establish your starting point, and learn why different tools serve different purposes.
Then we begin putting those pieces together.
Because ultimately, my goal isn’t to make you dependent on another program.
It’s to help you become a more informed participant in your own health—so you can move better, hurt less, and stay active for life.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
A Few Things You May Be Wondering Before You Begin
-
No. Shoulder Restore was designed to be performed at home and does not require access to a commercial gym.
The program uses a few basic pieces of equipment, including a Swiss Ball, broomstick or closet dowel, mini-bands, a very light or light exercise band, hand towel, yoga blocks, and an exercise bench.
In several cases, common household items can be substituted. Sturdy stacked books can take the place of yoga blocks, for example, and an appropriate sturdy piece of furniture may work in place of a bench, or as an anchor point for an exercise band.
-
Most of the program is performed approximately 2-3 times per week, with training frequency increasing during certain portions of the eight-week progression.
The schedule is a roadmap rather than a rigid requirement. Your individual response to the exercises should help determine how quickly you progress.
-
That’s completely fine.
Eight weeks gives you a roadmap. It doesn’t give your shoulder a deadline.
Some people may progress more quickly while others may benefit from spending additional time at a particular stage.
The goal isn’t to keep up with the calendar. It’s to gradually improve movement, control, and strength while paying attention to how your shoulder responds.
-
Shoulder Restore includes guidance to help you distinguish between acceptable exercise-related discomfort and pain that may be telling you to modify or stop what you are doing.
Pain should always be part of the decision-making process. You should never feel obligated to complete a particular number of repetitions, use a certain resistance, or progress simply because the program says it is time.
If you’re experiencing severe, worsening, or concerning pain, stop and seek guidance from an appropriate licensed healthcare professional.
-
Shoulder Restore includes education about frozen shoulder and may provide useful movement guidance for some people experiencing significant shoulder stiffness or restriction.
However, frozen shoulder—also known as adhesive capsulitis—is a specific medical condition, and Shoulder Restore is not intended to diagnose or treat it.
If you’ve been diagnosed with frozen shoulder or you’re experiencing severe or significant unexplained restriction, discuss exercise with your physician, physical therapist, or other appropriate licensed healthcare professional before beginning.
-
Potentially, yes.
Shoulder Restore can provide additional education about movement, mobility, and strengthening, but it should not replace the individualized recommendations of a healthcare professional who has evaluated your shoulder.
If you’re currently receiving treatment, show your provider the program and ask whether Shoulder Restore is appropriate to incorporate alongside your existing plan.
-
After purchasing, you’ll receive digital access to the complete Shoulder Restore program.
The downloadable guide serves as your roadmap through the eight-week process and includes access to narrated video demonstrations and captioned photographs that show you how to perform the exercises.
You can save the guide to your computer, tablet or phone and refer back to it whenever you need it.
-
Your purchase includes lifetime access to the Shoulder Restore materials you receive.
There is no monthly subscription and no requirement to complete the program within eight weeks.
